Outdoor pest control, specifically mosquito control, has not even been around for that long yet. It is a new, emerging industry that is set for high growth as mosquito-borne illnesses continue to be on the rise.
What trends do you see in your industry over the next 5 years? Next 10 years?
The mosquito control industry specifically is poised for high growth in the coming years based on the increased public health concerns and the fact that mosquito-borne illnesses are on the rise.
What is the biggest concern about your industry that a franchisee candidate should be aware of and investigate?
Pest control regulations vary by state and that could cause potential confusion or concern but we can help potential franchisees with understanding those.
Why do you think your company stands out in the industry?
We are a fun company! We have fun and eye-catching branding with a memorable name and tagline. We run a very clean business with a high priority on customer service and we offer a great support system for our franchisees.
What makes your franchise/ business opportunity more attractive than your competitors?
We have the lowest franchise fee of our competitors, a large support system backed by a solid corporate management team, and the best name!
Describe the working environment of your franchisees (indoors, home office, mobile, etc�). Is your environment typical of other companies in your industry?
The working environment can be as simple or as complex as the franchisee wants it to be. A Mosquito Joe franchise can be operated out of your home or at an outside/office location. It can be a stand-alone business or an add-on to an existing franchise business or other home service business. It has the ability to scale and grow and is a seasonal business operation (varying by market).
How much experience in this industry should a franchisee candidate have should they consider buying a franchise in your industry?

Give us an example of your ideal candidate:
We're looking for franchise owners who are outgoing and have sales, marketing, and/or management experience, and who are results oriented. Sales and marketing skills are a plus but are not mandatory due to our extensive training program. A person who can lead a team and who has the motivation to excel in a harried but fun environment! You must have a minimum of $85k in liquid capital, and be ready to make a full-time commitment.
Other essential ingredients of a successful franchise owner include the desire to run your own business and enjoy working outdoors. You will need the ability to train and manage sales staff and follow a sales process. Working with partners and vendors and networking will also be important to building your business so being an outgoing people person or the willingness to hire and trust one will be necessary!
