Originally founded by the Pritzker family (owners of the Hyatt Hotel chain), US Franchise Systems has owned the rights to Hawthorn since March, 1996. That original relationship continues today as the Hyatt Spirit Reservations System provides reservations referrals for Hawthorn when a Hyatt is unavailable in the same market. Hawthorn offers a proven track record of successful development, strong operating performance and sustainable growth in the mid- to upper-level market.
