Once upon a time, on a college break, Bonté’s founder went backpacking through Europe after completing a grueling round of midterms at the University of Colorado. While in Brussels, he discovered one of Belgium’s most popular offerings: the sugar waffle or gaufre (pronounced go-frã). No matter where he ventured, he was captivated again and again by the sweet-scented aroma and luscious taste of these expertly prepared, street-vendor treats. Suddenly, he had a vision to make these treats available to the residents in his own city: In that moment, Bonté, which means “goodness” in French, was born. Since 2003, Bonté has been enchanting the people of Philadelphia with the same sweet experience encountered on the streets of Brussels.

The Opportunity

Our cafes offer upscale customers gourmet private-label coffee, a variety of specialty espresso beverages, freshly baked goods, gourmet sandwiches and salads, soups and of course our signature Belgian sugar waffles. Our products are made with all-natural ingredients, and we take pride in providing prompt, friendly and personalized service, delivered in a genuine, enthusiastic way. The philosophy of Bonté is simple: to create premium Neighborhood Café’s recognized for high quality products and exceptional service to our customers. Our fresh, diverse menu, innovative store design, and proven operating model allow Bonté to offer a huge opportunity for new and existing franchisees.

Ongoing Support

As a Bonté franchise owner, you can leverage:

• Brand Name Recognition - Your fee entitles you to our Bonté Trademarks, trade secrets, recipes, operating systems and procedures.
• Pre-Opening Assistance - Through our experienced real estate department we offer you assistance in finding your location, site review analysis, lease negotiations, access to our broker network and demographic profile. We also provide restaurant design and construction.
• Training - We realize how important training is to the success of our franchisees and we take it very seriously. Our dedicated franchise trainers will be sure that you and your employees are familiar and comfortable with our proven operating concepts before you open your first Bonté Café.
• Marketing Support - A percentage of your gross sales as specified in your franchise agreement goes into a fund that is used to promote Bonté both nationally and locally.
